Canyoning and Via Ferrata have quickly become popular summer mountains sports during the last few years. You can easily understand why as they are great fun and adventurous at the same time as being relatively easily accessible. Neither sport require any previous experience or skills as long as you are accompanied by a professional. He/she will make sure you have all the right equipment and instruct you on how to use it.
So, what are these sports?
Canyoning
If you would like to visit spectacular waterfalls and canyons, not only from the viewing platform but actually walking, sliding, swimming and abseiling down one, you should try canyoning. It is sooo much fun!

Via Ferrata
You are basically following a route up, down and along a rock face or mountainside. This route is sometimes a more or less exposed footpath, sometimes ladders or metal footsteps and the more modern Via Ferratas tend to have fun features such as swing bridges and slack lines. Cables are attached to the rock to hold on to and clip yourself on to for security. You could say it is somewhere between climbing and trekking.
