Rock Climbing – advanced level

The Chamonix valley and the Mont Blanc region have endless possibilities when it comes to multi-pitch climbing. You find  Linda leading one of the hardest pitchessomething suitable for all levels. In the Aiguilles Rouges (Brévent and Flégère area) there are many new multi-pitch climbs that have been equipped in the last few years, which makes it a great area to gently and safely get in to multi-pitch climbing with most routes more or less equipped with bolts and belay points.Taking the step from sport climbing to multi-pitch adds many new elements to climbing and also certain risks. Before you head out on your own it is important to know how to use the gear correctly and understand the environment. This course is designed to give you an introduction to the basic knowledge and skills you should have.

  

1 day Rock Climbing Course - Multi-Pitch

This course is designed for climbers who have already done some sport climbing and who would like to move on to multi-pitch climbing and longer routes in the mountains. You should be used to leading and be comfortable on min. french grade 5-6. The aim is to teach you safety and the necessary skills to be able to go out and practise with your climbing partner. * Equipment for multi-pitch climbing – use and care
* Placing your own gear
* Setting up belays
* Knots
* Rope handling techniques
* Abseiling
* Route finding and terrain
