Climb Mont Blanc week – diverse itineraries
During Chamonix Experience Climb Mont Blanc week you get to experience many different types of climbing and many different areas of the Chamonix valley and sometimes even other corners of the Alps.
Below are some photos from rock climbing at Les Gaillands. Rock climbing is a great base for all future mountaineering as you learn climbing technique, rope work and safety.

The photos below are of ice axe and crampon training and playing around in the Moulin at the Mer de Glace. This formation in the glacier with ice cold blue water at the bottom is formed at the end of the winter when the snow starts to melt and makes a pretty spectacular ice climbing spot.
Andrea and Katherine climbed the Aiguille du Tour from the Albert 1er hut as their acclimatisation/training peak. They decided after this outing that Mont Blanc was a bit too much for them and went to Switzerland to climb the Weissmies instead.
John and Simon did some preparation around Helbronner and stayed overnight in the Torino hut together with Gary and Travis. The two of them were very strong and managed to push through to the summit at great speed despite a lot of wind. It was too cold for photos so unfortunately they did not get any photos from the summit day.
