Off-Piste Course 02-07/03: Crevasse Rescue on Les Grands Montets

The Off-Piste Workshop skiers took advantage of an overcast day and guide Sébastien’s knowledge to learn and practice crevasse rescue and glacier travel techniques. They skied down the back side of Les Grands Montets and found some good crevasses on the Argentière glacier where they could practice rescuing themselves and others.

After skiing down the Argentiere glacier and warming up in the Lognan Refuge with hot tartiflette, everyone found enough energy to finish off the afternoon with a few runs down the Lavancher bowl. Refuge de Lognan Fresh tracks at the end of the Lavancher bowl Peter & Graham relaxing after a hard day of skiing!
