Mountaineering, Alpine Climbing in ChamonixWe had Swedish ex-ice hockey pro, Patric Kjellberg, here a couple of weeks ago doing a nine day Alpine Climbing Course with Chamonix Experience guide Octavio Defazio. Patric started his mountaineering career from scratch this week but with a high level of fitness he made fast progress.

He wants to build his mountaineering experience step by step and starting with Chamonix Experience’s Alpine Climbing Course is a good beginning. This course is an ideal base for anyone who wishes to learn skills for future climbing, whether the goal is the great peaks of the Himalayas or mellow glacier treks in the Alps.    (more…)

Snowy Mont Blanc 15-20 June

The start of the Mont Blanc climbing season this year was exceptionally snowy, cold and rainy. Despite that, the group led by Chamonix Experience guide Sebastien pretty much managed to stick to the programme. They walked up to the Albert 1er refuge in the mist and did a snowy and windy ascent of the Aiguille du Tour. (more…)
