Summer - Mont Blanc Glacier Treks
This is a new programme summer 2008. It is a perfect introduction to the high Alpine environment. If you have never used crampons, ice axe or been on a glacier before, this week will give you a taster of all the above. You also get to spend a couple of nights in a high mountain refuge to add to your experience. To break up the week and try a bit of rock climbing and exposure we have added a via ferrata day at Plain Joux, a new location since last summer. This sport is really good fun and does not require much technical skill but a good head for heights.
Matterhorn 6 day climbing course
We have more and more demand for climbing the Matterhorn. As it is quite a technical climb that requires different skills from peaks like Mont Blanc we have decided to put together a 6 day course. This course will give you the necessary preparation and at the same time allows you to explore some more technical climbing around the Chamonix area, out of the well-trodden path of the Mont Blanc preparation programme.
Expedition Training Course
In liaison with Chamonix Experience’s sister company Himalayan Experience, we are running expedition training courses under supervision of renowned Himalayan Expedition leader Russell Brice, owner and founder of both companies.
