This winter has kept us waiting, and waiting. Today we woke up to 20cm of fresh snow in front of our house and nice, big snow flakes still falling from the cloudy skies. It was time to pull the big skis out of the shed :)
We went with Sebastien, our guide, to the Grands Montets ski station. With the new and fast ski lift, the queues are a history. We jumped quickly into one of the new bubbles to get up the mountain.
We skied the lower forest first, jumping from one snow pillow to another … great warm up for the legs! Then moved on to check the Grands Montets top lift. It was open with not much of queuing, i love skiing in January! The descent was great, we decided to go directly to La Diagonale and down to the Argentiere glacier. The visibility was poor but the snow was great, forgiving, deep and fluffy. Yesss…
This was the day we were waiting for!
