One Week Haute Route Hiking Tour

See the major highlights of the Haute Route hike from Chamonix to Zermatt in 1 week with a fully qualified UIAGM mountain guide. This high alpine trek from France to Switzerland will take you from the foot of Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn over 6 days

Ideal for hikers who want to pack as much adventure as possible into a short time frame.

The Haute Route is one of the most spectacular high mountain trek itineraries in the world, winding its way over remote alpine passes, traversing glaciers and passing beneath towering alpine peaks.

First completed by the English Alpine Club in the 19th century, the original Haute Route itinerary is 180km long and takes about 12 days to complete. Our 1 week Haute Route hike is thus designed for those who don’t have the time to do the full Haute Route or for those who would simply prefer to do a shorter trek. This magnificent alpine trekking tour is completed in 6 days without missing any of the highest points of the route and includes one short taxi transfer between Champex and Mauvoisin.

Along the Haute Route you will stay in high mountain huts where you can admire sunsets over majestic alpine landscapes. You will have time to practice and bring to perfection the fundament skills of mountaineering and glacier travel, as you pass through diverse and beautiful landscapes.

From the start in the Chamonix Valley in France to the end in the famous Swiss town of Zermatt, you will accumulate about 8000 vertical meters of ascent and descent over the course of 6 unforgettable days.
