Eperon des Cosmiques

Rock-climbing-chamonix-03

The Eperon des Cosmiques is one of the famous Rebuffat routes of Chamonix, a technical multi-pitch rock climb high above the glaciers of the Mont Blanc Massif.

Access is straightforward via the Aiguille du Midi cable car from Chamonix, or from the nearby Cosmiques hut.

The route takes about half a day to complete, topping out after 6 pitches of rough textured granite on the ridge of the Arête des Cosmiques.

With each pitch, you'll see more of the surrounding peaks reveal themselves until you have an incredible panorama, by the time you reach the ridge you'll be able to see across to Mont Blanc.
