This experience is not ideal as your first flight. The take off is technical and requires commitment.
You need to have previous experience in walking on crampons as you will be taking off from a glacier. You will have to descend the Aiguille du Midi ridge, which can be steep, narrow and exposed. You will be wearing harness and helmet and will be roped to a mountain guide at all times.
You will then walk together for around 5min out onto the glacier to meet your pilot. Once securely attached to your pilot and the wing, you will be required to run forward wearing the passenger harness for several steps, to allow the wing to inflate behind you, before taking off.
You will also be required to prepare for a gentle landing standing on your own feet, so please inform us if you have any knee, ankle or back injuries prior to booking, so we can inform your pilot to take extra care or revert to a seated landing.
