The Classic Tour du Mont Blanc

The ultimate trekking tour of the Alps, starting and ending in Chamonix Mont-Blanc. Alpine hiking at its best, staying overnight in traditional mountain refuges and gites on route. The Tour du Mont Blanc passes through France, Italy and Switzerland.

This is the complete classic Tour du Mont Blanc which will take you the whole way around the foot of the Mont Blanc massif, covering around 165km (102 miles) and climbing almost 10,000m (32808 feet) during 10 days of challenging but extremely rewarding hiking.

You will visit 3 countries; France, Italy and Switzerland. You will hike across alpine meadows, rugged mountain slopes, high mountain passes and vast valleys. You will visit picturesque villages and taste local food from 3 different alpine regions.

The highest point of this trip is the Fenêtre d’Arpette (2670m) on the border of France and Switzerland, from where you will enjoy stunning views in both directions.

You will also hike up to the summit of the Brévent (2525m) right here in Chamonix, which offers magnificent views of the Mont Blanc Massif.

You will visit two of the legendary Alpine ski resorts; Courmayeur in Italy and Chamonix in France, both of which are just as spectacular in summer as in winter.

This trip will give you an unforgettable experience of some of the most beautiful and inspiring places in the Alps.
