Chamonix Experience offers a basic avalanche awareness and safety course for those who wish to enjoy safe and responsible backcountry skiing.

During the course, participants learn about avalanche safety equipment such as transceivers, probes, and shovels. They are taught how to use these tools effectively to locate and assist individuals who may be buried in snow. Simulated rescue scenarios provide hands-on experience, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and communication during emergency situations.

Key topics covered in the avalanche awareness course include understanding how avalanches occur, optimal tour planning correct behaviour on the tour, and the rescue protocols in the field. Students are guided on how to assess snow conditions and identify potentially hazardous terrain, enhancing their ability to prevent accidents before they happen.
