This is one of the great Chamonix classic climbs. It follows a nice line of cracks and corners up the prominent and steep wall of the Brevent.

With fast and easy access from the Brevent lift, this makes the route a convenient itinerary in case of time restrictions or an unstable weather forecast.

The route offers enjoyable and sustained climbing, with the 4th and final pitches being truly exceptional.

There is no descent or rappels involved, the climb finishes directly at the top of the lift station. Hop on the lift and you are back in Chamonix in just a few minutes.

Itinerary

Your guide will meet you at the Brevent lift station in the morning. The approach to the climb is quick walk downhill from the top station of the Brevent lift (15 min). The climb is 6 pitches long and should take about 3 hours. You will top out directly next to the lift station of the Brevent to take the cable car back to Chamonix.

Level Requirements

You must have a good level of fitness, be experienced in multi pitch climbing and confortable following a 6a.  This climb includes cracks and corners.
