Vallée Blanche traverse

Trek the classic Chamonix high alpine route in crampons, starting from the iconic summit of Aiguille du Midi cable car 3842m in France and finishing on the other side of the Vallee Blanche glacier at Punta Helbronner in Italy.

EXPERIENCE ONE OF THE MOST BREATHTAKING TREKS IN THE WORLD

The Vallee Blanche traverse is one of the most spectacular glacier walks in the Alps and an absolutely must see if you are planning to visit Chamonix between May and beginning of September.

It is a relatively easy high altitude trek involving approximately 600m of descent and 200m of ascent, which takes you through the spectacular glaciated terrain of the Glacier de Geant over to Pointe Helbronner on the Italian side of Mont Blanc. You will be surrounded by towering alpine peaks, glistening seracs and icy blue crevasses – which you will get to see again from above as you take the Helbronner cable car back across the Vallee Blanche to the Aiguille du Midi!

You will be accompanied the whole time by one of our highly qualified and experienced UIAGM mountain guides, who will not only lead you but will also share with you their expert knowledge on the area, making this a unique and unforgettable experience.

Stunning views of the Chamonix valley and the majestic Mont Blanc provide incredible photo opportunities! This is a great outing suitable for both experienced alpinists and novices alike, as no previous experience of mountaineering or glacier travel is necessary.
