We’ve hand-picked a selection of Chamonix’s most iconic climbs for you to discover with a Chamex mountain guide. All trips are available on a private tailored basis to maximise your time in the Alps.

Our selection of best Alpine climbs

This is the perfect option for those who want a taste of alpinism without committing to a big expedition. Perhaps you are short of time but still want to get out into those mountains? Or maybe you are looking for your first experience of mountaineering and alpine climbing?

With year-round mechanical lift access to peaks from 2000m to almost 4000m, it is no surprise that Chamonix has become a world centre for modern alpinism. Climbs that used to require days of trekking and glacial navigation to reach are now accessible within a matter of minutes. This means that you don’t have to be either super fit, experienced or committed to several days to help satisfy your mountain fix.

Below are a number of ideas to whet your appetite for adventure; for more possible options please send us an email, call us on or pop into our Chamonix office for a friendly chat. There really is no excuse not to get up into the mountains, even if you are only here for a flying visit…!
